Delete Your Account and Data
You can permanently delete your MindDoor account and all associated data at any time, directly in the app.
1. Delete your account in the app
- Open the MindDoor app and sign in.
- Go to My Profile (the last tab).
- Tap the Settings (gear) icon in the top-right corner.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Premium subscribers: cancel first
Before you delete your account, cancel your subscription in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID settings (Subscriptions).
- Deleting your account or the app does not cancel the subscription, and the store will keep charging you.
- MindDoor has no access to your store account and cannot cancel it for you.
- All payments are final and non-refundable, including charges made because a subscription was not cancelled in time. See Terms, Section 15.
2. Can't open the app?
Email [email protected] with the subject "Account Deletion Request" from the email address of your account, and include your username. We may ask you to confirm the request, and we complete it within 30 days (usually much sooner).
3. What is deleted
Deletion is immediate and permanent and cannot be undone. It removes:
- your account, email address, login credentials and profile (username, avatar, country, aura);
- all your thoughts, public and private, and their AI analysis;
- copies of your public thoughts that other users had saved;
- your Mind Room participation and messages, your one-to-one messages and your group messages;
- private groups you own (with all their messages), and your membership of other groups;
- your friends, friend requests, saved thoughts and block list;
- your Soul Diagram statistics and other insights.
4. What may be kept, and for how long
- Copies in encrypted backups and server logs, which expire within 30 days.
- Purchase records that we or the app stores must keep for tax and accounting reasons.
- Information we must keep by law or to defend legal claims, information needed to stop a banned user from creating a new account, and evidence preserved for law enforcement (for example in child-safety cases), only as long as necessary.
- Content that other people already received, copied or screenshotted before you deleted your account is outside our control.
5. Your data, your control: without deleting your account
- Thoughts: delete any of your thoughts in My Thoughts with the bin icon. It is deleted permanently, together with copies other people saved. A thought that is part of an active Mind Room can be deleted once the room ends. Free accounts keep only the newest 20 thoughts, Premium up to 5,000; older ones are removed automatically.
- Public or private: choose for every thought whether it appears in the feed. Public thoughts leave the feed after 24 hours.
- Profile: change your avatar, username (at the allowed intervals) and country in Account Settings.
- Friends and messages: remove friends, cancel requests and leave or delete groups you own.
- Block: block any user so they cannot contact you or see your content; manage your list in Account Settings → Blocked users.
- Notifications and microphone: turn these permissions off at any time in your device settings.
- Copy of your data: request it by emailing [email protected] with the subject "Data request".
